Rules & Regulations

The Rules & Regulations section contains the officially approved competition rules governing the sport of Aerial Athletics under the authority of IAAA. They are founded on the principles of transparency, equality, and respect for human potential — reflecting the core values of the Olympic Movement and promoting fair play, athlete welfare, and the global growth of the discipline.

Ethics & Integrity

The Ethics & Integrity Framework defines the core principles and values that guide IAAA and its global community — including national federations, continental divisions, officials, athletes, coaches, judges, medical and technical personnel, organizing committees, partners, and accredited participants.
The IAAA Code of Ethics ensures that all members act with honesty, impartiality, and transparency, protecting Aerial Athletics from any form of competition manipulation, corruption, or abuse of influence.
This framework protects the integrity and credibility of Aerial Athletics, ensures accountability and transparent governance, and upholds the universal values of fair play, equality, and respect — fully aligned with the IOS Code of Ethics, the Olympic Movement Code on the Prevention of the Manipulation of Competitions and the principles of the Olympic Movement.

Disciplinary

The IAAA Disciplinary Code establishes the rules and procedures that ensure fairness, integrity, and accountability within Aerial Athletics. Its purpose is to maintain order, uphold respect for the IAAA regulations, and protect the reputation and credibility of the sport. By defining disciplinary offences, guaranteeing due process, and applying sanctions consistently, the Code promotes the values of fair play, transparency, and the rule of law in international sport.

Safeguarding

The Safeguarding (Safe Sport) Framework outlines the IAAA’s commitment to providing a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all participants, especially minors and vulnerable individuals. It sets out policies and procedures to prevent and respond to any form of harassment, abuse, neglect, or discrimination. IAAA promotes education, awareness, and early intervention to protect the physical and emotional well-being of athletes and all members of the aerial athletics community.

Anti-Doping

IAAA upholds the values and principles established by the World Anti-Doping Code and supports international efforts to ensure fair competition and athlete welfare. IAAA promotes the principles of clean sport, fair play, and athlete integrity in all aerial disciplines. IAAA is committed to maintaining a culture of honesty, respect, and health within our sport community. IAAA opposes the use of any prohibited substances or methods that violate the principles of fair competition.
The IAAA’s Anti-Doping Policy follows the educational standards and guidance of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).
We share official WADA resources to help athletes, coaches, and national federations understand their responsibilities in maintaining a doping-free environment.
All athletes and IAAA members are expected to:
  • follow the WADA Prohibited List;
  • comply with their national anti-doping regulations;
  • cooperate with recognised National Anti-Doping Organisations (NADOs) in their countries.
